Terms of Service

Introduction

By utilizing our REST Lens platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Service"). The terms "you" and "your" refer to all individuals or entities accessing this service. The terms "we", "us", "our" refer to E.SU. IT AB (registered in Sweden under company number 559484-0505), and "Service" refers to our REST Lens API quality assurance platform.

Use of Our Service

  • You must not use the Service for any unlawful or abusive purposes.
  • Our Service shall only be used under all applicable laws and regulations.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You may only upload OpenAPI specifications that you have the right to analyze.
  • You must not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our proprietary analysis algorithms.
  • You must not use the Service to analyze APIs containing illegal, harmful, or malicious content.

Fair Use and Rate Limits

  • We implement rate limits on API requests and service usage to ensure fair access for all users.
  • Excessive or abusive usage patterns may result in temporary throttling or suspension.
  • Automated systems accessing the Service must respect rate limit headers and implement appropriate backoff strategies.
  • We reserve the right to adjust rate limits with reasonable notice.

Subscription and Payment

  • Access to REST Lens requires a valid subscription plan.
  • All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Services Agreement.
  • Subscription fees are billed in advance. Prices are shown exclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with appropriate notice.
  • Failure to pay subscription fees may result in suspension or termination of your access.

Free Starter Plan

  • The free Starter plan is limited to one per person or organization.
  • We employ fraud prevention measures to detect and prevent abuse of free plan offers, including tracking payment method identifiers.
  • Attempting to obtain multiple free plans using different accounts or payment methods is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate termination of your access.
  • We reserve the right to cancel any subscription obtained through fraudulent means.

Service Availability

  • We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
  • The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • We will provide advance notice of planned maintenance when possible.

Refunds and Right of Withdrawal

All payments are processed by Stripe.

Refund Policy

  • Refunds may only be issued for unused purchased credits.
  • Monthly plan allowances (credits included with your subscription plan) are non-refundable and expire at the end of each billing cycle.
  • Purchased credits (balance top-ups) never expire and remain available until used. Only monthly plan allowances expire at the end of each billing cycle.
  • Partial refunds for unused credits are calculated based on the remaining balance of purchased credits.
  • Credits do not accrue interest or constitute a monetary deposit. Credits are virtual units for service usage and have no cash value.

Digital Goods and Withdrawal Rights

  • By purchasing credits or subscribing to the Service, you acknowledge that you are purchasing digital content that is supplied immediately.
  • You expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (the 14-day cooling-off period otherwise applicable under EU consumer protection laws) once the digital content has been made available to you.

Intellectual Property

  • You retain ownership of your OpenAPI specifications and related data.
  • We retain ownership of our analysis algorithms, reports, and platform technology.
  • You grant us a limited license to process your API specifications solely for providing the Service.
  • Analysis results and recommendations are provided for your use and may not be redistributed without permission.

Data and Privacy

  • Your uploaded API specifications are processed confidentially and securely.
  • We will not share your API data with third parties except as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and analyze the API specifications you submit.
  • Backup copies of your data may be retained for service continuity as described in our Privacy Policy.

Cancellation and Termination of Service

  • Any abuse of the Service will lead to termination of your access. We reserve the right to decide what is considered abuse of the Service.
  • We reserve the right to suspend, deny, or terminate, at our sole discretion, your access to all or any portion of the Service.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
  • You may request an export of your data (API specifications, analysis results) at any time before account deletion.
  • Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes through:

  • Email notification to your registered address
  • Prominent notice on our website
  • In-app notifications when you next use the Service

We encourage you to review these terms periodically to stay informed about your rights and obligations.

Disclaimer

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".
  • We reserve the right to modify the Service from time to time at any time, including adding and removing features.
  • We reserve the right to cease operations of the Service at any time without notice.
  • We reserve the right to alter prices for the Service and any connected extra services at any time subject to notice applicable by law.
  • We provide no warranties in regards to the Service.
  • Analysis results and recommendations are provided for informational purposes and should not be considered as definitive or comprehensive.
  • We do not guarantee that our analysis will identify all potential issues in your API specifications.

Limitation of Liability

  • You expressly understand and agree that we shall not be liable for any damages resulting from the use of our Service.
  • In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for using our Service.
  • We are not liable for any decisions made based on our analysis results or recommendations.
  • We are not responsible for any loss or corruption of your API specification data, though we maintain reasonable backup procedures.

Other

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from any cause beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.

Assignment

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to any third party in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.

Applicable Law

This contract shall be governed by the law of Sweden. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with this contract, or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof, shall be resolved by a Court in Sweden.
